One year ago, when we started this blog, I wasn’t entirely confident about its longevity. Yet here we are, celebrating our first anniversary! What started as a humble project attracting just a few weekly visitors has grown into a page reaching hundreds of readers monthly. Although we’re not competing with YouTube stars or other major platforms, the growth has surpassed our initial expectations.
Throughout this year, we’ve delved into various aspects of freedom. At some point, we crystallized some themes into main categories:
- Holistic Wellness Hub,
- Self Growth Corner,
- Financial Mastery Zone,
- Philosophical Freedom.
While Yurema primarily focuses on health and self-liberation topics, I tend to delve into technology, self-growth, and economic matters, which gives us a comprehensive coverage of life as a whole. Finances, it seems, is a theme that unites us both, as it is an essential aspect of liberation in the modern world. Recently, we added a Miscellaneous category to accommodate emerging topics like artificial intelligence (AI).
The Top 5 Most Popular Articles
Where some might not be a surprise or do, but these are most popular by count of unique viewers:
- “Will AI Really Take Your Job?” (over 550 readers)
- “Unveiling the Hidden Risks: About The Great Taking” ( about 300 readers)
- “Why We Started” (under 100 readers)
- “My Top Life Hacks That Stick” (over 50 readers)
- “Prompting: The New Skill” (about 50 readers)
Personal Growth and Creative Exploration
One thing for sure, running this blog has brought numerous benefits. I have significantly improved the writing skills and so as my thought process has become more structured. Yurema discovered a liking for design, which led to the publication of two physical products: SPENDSMART and Quotes for a Life of Meaning. Together, we also created and published a digital goal-setting template.
Beyond personal development, our focus on freedom has also enhanced our financial literacy, made strategic investments, and broadened our perspectives on various topics. Going myself through creative block helped me appreciate the creative endeavor even more, enhancing our creativity like a muscle regularly exercised at the gym.
Looking Into Years Ahead
The global economic outlook remains challenging, particularly as observed from within the United Kingdom. Having personally experienced the initial round of redundancies and continuing to observe the world around me, I have not found enough time to write a post about these issues. However, I have suspicions that some concerning trends may soon become a reality:
- The world’s biggest economies are in financial trouble and are technically in recession, with more hardships on the horizon. However, people still seem unwilling to give up their pleasures or admit to harsh realities.
- The USA might experience a temporary bounce driven by market optimism (or “hopium” as some call it), but its sustainability is questionable, unless AI will “save us.”
- The “AI-hype train” is driving stock valuations to extreme levels. For example, if we subtract Nvidia stock from the S&P 500, the US market has performed worse than the European market over the past two years found on linkedin
- Contrary to the USA, the UK’s recovery is not expected to come anytime soon, due to incompetent political cast and their poor decisions.
- Governments may resort to tax increases to address fiscal challenges due to higher running costs and slower markets, which could lead to more job losses. This particularly already started happening in the UK.
- In the technology sphere, Large Language Models, such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT, will continue to evolve. While they are not perfect, they are becoming more refined. We are likely to see increased adoption of specialized, distilled models and cost-effective computational solutions in the corporate world, similar to the impact of MS Copilot.
- AI agents will be able to automate more of digital work, enabling some corporations to leaner on staff.
- Looking towards 2030, the expansion of robotics technology could significantly impact employment patterns, potentially leading to structural changes in the job market.
The End of the Year: Embracing the Continuous Journey of Learning
As we reflect on this remarkable year, I’m filled with gratitude and excitement. Yes, the journey wasn’t always smooth sailing – we encountered waves of challenges, moments of uncertainty, and unexpected turns. But isn’t that precisely what makes a voyage meaningful? Each challenge was an opportunity, each obstacle a chance to grow, learn, and evolve.
Our blog has been more than just a collection of words; it’s been a living, breathing testament to resilience, curiosity, and the power of consistent effort. We started as a small spark and have gradually illuminated a space where ideas can flourish, perspectives can expand, and hopefully readers can find inspiration.
To our readers who have been part of this incredible journey – thank you.
As we look forward, we’re not just optimistic – we’re prepared. The future may be complex, with technological shifts and economic challenges, but we’re equipped with knowledge, adaptability, and an unwavering spirit of exploration. Our commitment remains the same: to provide insights, provoke thought, and support personal growth.
Remember, life’s most beautiful stories aren’t about reaching a destination, but about enjoying the ride. And what a ride it has been! Here’s to another year of learning, growing, and making meaningful connections.
Onward and upward!
